    Minjeni focuses on grass root projects, which means that our projects are the most basic ones and we are using local resources to fight poverty.

    The reason why Minjeni decided to build a Day Care Centre was that the women of Shimbwe area needed to carry the small children on their back all day.

    The goat project has five groups that contain five families in each (5-10 people in each family).

    Minjeni made a survey in Shimbwe area in 2008. This survey showed that Shimbwe needed a blood pressure clinic.

    In 2009 the pig project started and has now 38 members. Pig projects generate good money and it is easy to take care of pigs.

    “Minjeni Sewing for growing” is the continuing project that started with four women of Minjeni that started a sewing project in 2010, see Successful projects.
